/ BREEAM CERTIFICATION

Weerts Logistics Parks is committed to reducing its carbon footprint and, as of January 1, 2021, has pledged to obtain BREEAM certification for all future developments, targeting a rating of “Very Good” or higher. All recently completed developments have undergone a BREEAM In-Use assessment.

/ RENEWABLE ENERGY

Since 2020, Weerts Logistics Parks has been committed to equipping its most modern buildings with solar panels, enabling tenants to generate their own green energy.

At present, the total installed rooftop solar capacity amounts to approximately 12 MWp, generating more than 11,000 MWh annually. This corresponds to the annual energy consumption of about 3,700 households and reduces CO₂ emissions by roughly 5,000,000 kilograms.

By 2024–2025, Weerts Logistics Parks will operate 60 MWp, producing around 50,000 MWh annually.

/ SMART BUILDINGS AND SYSTEMS

The buildings of Weerts Logistics Parks are constructed using materials and equipment that significantly improve energy efficiency and performance (e.g., insulation, LED lighting).

In addition, all premises are equipped with motion sensors, reducing tenant energy consumption.

Weerts Logistics Parks also seeks to integrate sustainability into its partnerships. The collaboration between Ethias and the Weerts Group is based on a shared vision of sustainability as a vital component of social progress. Both partners not only maintain strong local community ties but also actively work towards the objectives of the European Green Deal.
